What is higher education?
Higher education (HE) is the next level of study up from level 3 courses like A levels, BTEC Nationals and NVQs at level 3. Most HE courses are taught at universities, but some colleges also offer HE level courses, usually through having links with a university. Some specialist course providers also offer HE courses, such as art schools and agricultural colleges.
It’s important to think about your options for higher education. As well as HE courses at college and university it is also possible to do a higher Apprenticeship in many industry areas now which might suit your learning style better and move you more quickly along your career path.
